Strawberry Jam

Another recipe from my aunt. XXXXX

Ingredients

Preparation

Add water until it is 3/4 inch below the level of cherries.  Bring to a boil then simmer for 20 minutes. Mash and then drain the juice through a sieve.  Measure the juice which should be about 5 to 6 cups.  Add 1 1/2 cups of sugar less than the juice.  Boil 10 minutes until syrupy.  If it is not thick enough add some certo and boil for another minute.
